Approved by China Council for the Promotion of Applied Technology Exchanges with Foreign Countries and the related department of Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, China Council for the Promotion of Applied Technology Exchanges with Foreign Countries Guangzhou Branch (Hereafter short for ZCH-GAST) was established in 1990. It is an affiliated unit to Guangzhou Association for Science and Technology (GAST), playing an important role in foreign affairs. Being a non-profit organization, ZCH-GAST is of the functions of sending technicians to study abroad and promoting applied technology.
We have selected technicians to study in Japan and Briton. After their returning home, most of the technicians practice in their work the learning gained abroad, to achieve outstanding results and create good social profit and economic profit. Our work of sending technicians to study abroad has been highly spoken by the provincial and municipal government leaders.
Promoting foreign cooperation and professional exchanges is one of our major tasks. As a civilian channel, besides promoting externally new product and scientific achievement, ZCH-GAST also introduces into China the practical and advanced technology and management experiences to serve enterprises, and make contributions in sci-tech development and economic construction.
Organizing conferences and exhibitions is our important business. With the support from all circles of the society, we have successfully held many international and domestic conferences and exhibitions. Some have been written in the Guangzhou Yearbook, and some have been appraised highly by municipal leaders. We will go on developing the conference and exhibition business enthusiastically.
